An Eccentric Eighteen.

Hi! I'm The Idiot! :3

Od·ys·sey :- A series of travels: a long series of travels and adventures

My Odyssey So Fine, It Dares To Defy This Very Time.

The names Mushba-- not Mishbah, not Muzbah, or Bushra, Mushba, M-U-S-H-B-A. I'm 18, in the most delightful country in the world (Pakistan), have the most revered of beliefs (Islam); i'm also sarcastic, but i'd like to think i have a nice of humour, as i steer through these difficult waters i've suddenly found myself in, with the help of a blog no one reads, and a tumblr where i post whatever my heart desires. Currently, due to these difficult waters, i'm neglecting my online life to get a real life, but i'm sure you neglect a few things yourself, so we're even. Feel free to say hi (i'm very nice), or stalk (i can be very rude too!); whatever tickles your fancy.

“ Facebook & Youtube were/are banned, amongst other sites. You see there was something on Facebook , a page that held a drawing competition & asked participants to draw sketches of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), & in reaction the government banned facebook till the 31st of May.

Reaction’s to this have been of these 2 sort’:

“Block Facebook For Good”

or,

“WHAT THE HELL?!! PAKISTAN IS LIKE LIVING IN THE STONEAGE; ITS LIKE LIVING IN HELL”

I’m not of either opinion. My opinion is with that of lawyer whom i heard on radio, when asked about the ban: “..Well in doing so, we have avoided the social cost; the riots & all that happened with the Danish cartoons..” Which is true, in doing so we have avoided ticking off the wild rabies infected Coyote that this nation is. As for those of the latter opinion, heres my answer to you: GO TO HELL -_- or, GET A LIFE YOU BUNCH OF USELESS MORONS.

Honestly, i have said it before & i’ll say it again: this ungrateful nation was built through sincere dedication & love & sacrifice, not through the badmash-kambakath-chooree chakaree, or insincere, lying, cheating, backstabbing, yellow belly, red neck moron’s that exist today;& no i’m not just referring to the politicians. You always argue about how you should be treated like proper citizen’s, well, see the thing is, your not proper citizens what so ever; you steal , you lie, you just look out for your own, not for the nation, then why the hell should a nation, with it’s young brave soldiers up in the North fighting a war, ( I Salute You & Your Families Dear Shaheeds), provide for someone who doesn’t care about the nation in the first place; you out of all people should know, you give something & get something in return, an eye for an eye, remember? So if your going to just get up & leave for some foreign land & never come back & degrade the nation whilst your there, why should we put ourselves through that trouble for you eh? Why should we bother to educate a bunch of bafoons who don’t want to be educated; provide security for those who don’t even bother to take basic safety measures?

Think otherwise? Think that you’re worth something just because you were born here, then woop-dee-do-da! PROVE ME WRONG, & GO DO SOMETHING FOR THE COUNTRY FOR ONCE.

600,000 PEOPLE

“Thats Six-Hundred-Thousand lives scared, hungry, ill & unsheltered & unprotected. They’ve gone from being in a good enough position to being in position at all, with society straining to pay attention to them. Imagine if you’d lost your house, the majority of your belongings; that computer you so cherish your time with, your comfortable bed, your TV, your fridge…everything lost, leaving only with a few things that you can carry with you, as you travel across dirty, flooded lands, with thousands of other people in the same, desperate position, with the fear that desperation may cause these very people to do something to you. Your children are crying, scared, & hungry; you’re hungry. Its been miles since you started walking, or days since you’ve been stranded on your own or someone else’s roof. The mosquitoes are getting under your skin, literally it feels. You don’t feel well yourself. & you think, ‘Where is the world? Where are my fellow countrymen? They know i’m in such a horrible state, but i see no relief of any kind, material or emotional’. Then you either wonder where’s God, or God is your only friend left. You become desperate yourself, envying those you managed to carry off more material possessions than you, thinking of stealing. Or maybe, your thinking why haven’t your relatives called; why haven’t they visited to ask you to move out of that God forsaken shelter & into their home…we are family after all?

This is, at best, what those SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND are going through, maybe even worse that i fail to depict for you. They are lacking in basic resources of all sorts, from shelter to medicine to clothes, & of course, the most basic need of all, food; they are getting ill because of thirst, they drink the water from the floods, & contract all sorts of preventable diseases. Now is NOT the time to criticise governments or holidaying politicians, now is the time for a country to prove its worth to its predecessors watching from the heavens, NOW is the time for Humanity to prove their worth to the Lord watching from above, prove that we can come together, all walks of life, the believing & non believing, the whites, blacks,Asians,Muslims,Christians,Jews,Hindus,Buddhists; that we understand the value of humanity, the value of each other.

I’m 16, & my family is not affected by the floods, but we’re in a tolerable & intolerable financial position ourselves, but i still want to try for others; i want to ask you, my fellow beings, to help our brothers & sisters, OUR children, survive this tragedy, & take it as an opportunity you’ve always wanted, that opportunity to be someone. I want to ask you to give them hope, to give me hope, that there are good people in the world, people who understand the meaning of another beyond the aspect of lustful teenage vampire love. http://wfp.org http://unicef.org

I Gotta Say This

“Ramzan, or Ramadan, Islams holiest month, is here once more. People are fasting, on their best behaviour, reading the Quran, loving & caring. Then the month will end, & so will the humane behaviour.

I’ve thought about it, & thought about it, & the only explanation for why Pakistan is always in a bad position is probably the fact the people inhabiting it are a bunch good for nothings; selfish, deceitful, conniving, mean & low down schmucks. I have to wonder, i have to ask, why is it us Muslims turn to our Holy Book only during this time? We claim that Islam is the truth, the Quran is the truth, & hence everybody should embrace our faith, & yet we ourselves haven’t even done so. The entire concept behind any faith is to promote the concept of humanity & equality, but, judging from the way we behave, the case is anything but so.

14 MILLION people are affected by the floods in Pakistan, floods some are calling the floods of the century. 1600 have lost their lives. Yet, what i see is people failing to care & rescue. I know times are hard; inflation, security, this & that, but do you honestly believe the time you spend criticizing the government is going to help the survivors? We can’t keep being a bunch helpless buffoons, simply for the fact that those before us sacrificed too much for us, too much to build a nation where the future generations could reside in peace; we can’t just continue life like this. I mean, rather than bashing the government online, go raise awareness & money! Rather than wasting money on an IPod or something that’ll wear out eventually, give it to Edhi who’ll make it last in a sentimental manner.

There are ways to live life; you can live it for yourself, which is a life that was never lived to begin with, or you can live it for others, which, i believe, is a life that never ends.”

Pakistan Floods Appeal

Pakistan Flood victims are evacuated at night by a Pakistan Army helicopter August 24, 2010 in Qubo Saeed Khan, Pakistan. The country’s agricultural heartland has been devastated, with rice, corn and wheat crops destroyed by floods. Officials say as many as 20 million people have been affected during Pakistan’s worst flooding in 80 years. The army and aid organizations are struggling to cope with the widespread scale of the disaster that has killed over 1,600 people and displaced millions. The UN has described the disaster as unprecedented, with over a third of the country under water.
