The names Mushba-- not Mishbah, not Muzbah, or Bushra, Mushba, M-U-S-H-B-A. I'm 18, in the most delightful country in the world (Pakistan), have the most revered of beliefs (Islam); i'm also sarcastic, but i'd like to think i have a nice of humour, as i steer through these difficult waters i've suddenly found myself in, with the help of a blog no one reads, and a tumblr where i post whatever my heart desires. Currently, due to these difficult waters, i'm neglecting my online life to get a real life, but i'm sure you neglect a few things yourself, so we're even. Feel free to say hi (i'm very nice), or stalk (i can be very rude too!); whatever tickles your fancy.

It’s so hard to wrap my head around that there are teens who don’t even know what these are! WTF! I’m only in my mid-twenties I’m not that fricken old!

All of them. What. I’m not old, I’m 25, for crissakes. That’s so weird.
All of these were in wide use as recent as the early 2000s. I mean I got my first DVD player in 2001, and I was still using disks to save my documents on for a while after that. It was tedious to burn a CD just for a document, so until flash drives really came into being, I had them. My senior year of high school my dog actually ate the disk that I had all of my writing on (yes, my dog ate my homework), and we had to pay 50.00 to have it restored.
As for phone books, we still get them here. Encyclopedias, we have a set in my parents’ basement that I devoured as a kid. I read them for fun. I was that kind of a kid. We never had a video camera like that (by the time we got one nicer ones existed, with like the little screens you pull out), but I’ve certainly used one. Film I was using as recently as several years ago until Abarero finally got a digital camera. Tapes I actually did completely drop when I got my first CD player in 1996.
As for payphones, I’m not even sure when those got phased out. They just kind of vanished.
But wow I don’t even consider any of this stuff remotely old school. Y’all are young.

casette, video tape, and film roll (still use that in my moms camera!)

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the “half empty or half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: “How heavy is this glass of water?”
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.” She continued, “The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything.”
It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don’t carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!I needed this.
